Alex Michaelson

Majoring in Japanese at Boston’s Tufts University with further studies at Kanazawa University in Japan and Saint-Petersburg State University in Russia, Los Angeles-born Alex Michaelson also spent time in Kyoto and New York City before coming to his current position at Empire Entertainment in Tokyo. An Executive Board member and regular contributor at the Kansai Music Conference (KMC) in Osaka, Alex has experience producing live music events, a regular music-themed FM radio show, and network television segments. Alex now produces artistic engagements and manages artists around the world at Empire Entertainment Japan, handling contracts and negotiations, tech and logistics, promotion and PR, as well as local coordination. He is fluent in written and spoken Japanese, and conversational in Russian.
