Born in Tokyo Masaaki Ayoma graduated high school and moved to Los Angeles. There he began to work as chef with his uncle at Omino Sushi Restaurant. With experience gained he quickly moved up the ranks and found him self working at a famous hollywood sushi restaurant Asenebo where he spent 15 years of his career and gaining 2 Michelin stars and was also awarded first place for the renowned Zagat Los Angeles Restaurant Survey . After his hollywood adventures he returned to Japan and has taken reigns as chef at Uohide restaurant and as executive chef and supervisor at Magokoro La Shinsengumi in Tokyo.
